Syringa vulgaris Beauty of Moscow is a variety of lilac developed in Russia in 1943. It has dense heads of tightly packed double flowers that are a pale pink to white colour. This variety can grow large, up to 12 feet high and 8 feet wide. It has a lovely strong fragrance too. A very striking plant when in full bloom. An easy to grow low maintenance plant, ideal for beginners. Plant it in full sun and it should grow well regardless of your soil type as long as it is well-drained.
