Product description

Parthenocissus quinquefolia which is commonly known as Virginia creeper is a climber, making it an ideal choice for the likes of trellises, walls, fences and arches. Leaves come in groups of five leaflets and this plant has green foliage during spring and summer, with warm and enticing orange and red foliage during autumn. Small green flowers will appear in summer, followed by bluish-black berries in autumn. This plant will spread quickly and does require pruning during autumn and the start of winter to keep it in check. Virginia creeper can be grown in any fertile soil as long as it offers good drainage. This climber grows in full sunlight, partial shade and full shade but to obtain optimum autumn colouring it should be planted in partial or full shade.
