Geranium macrorrhizum is an herbaceous perennial that grows to under 1ft in height. It starts flowering during late spring and can continue for four weeks, producing a plethora of pink and apple scented flowers during the month.
G. macrorrhizum is a great plant for dense ground cover, and will tolerate full sun and dry conditions, making it an ideal specimen for drought resistant gardens. It’s best suited to sunny or partially shady conditions where the soil is well draining yet moist. It has scented foliage, making it ideal for the edges of borders where it’ll be brushed when walking by. It also works well in containers.
