This description is for Camellia: These winter and spring flowering plants are a superb way of adding a splash of early season colour to the garden. Camellia is the family, or genus, of many different species of plants that grow best in a shaded area of the garden. They look fabulous in flower beds and borders, but are also a good choice to grow in containers. Sometimes they produce seed pods during the summer which can be used to propagate new plants, although this is quite tricky to successfully accomplish.
