This description is for Beaucarnea recurvata: Beaucarnea recurvate, or Elephant’s Foot, is an evergreen, most often grown as a house plant. It remains green all year round. It’s a sub-tropical plant, so naturally enjoys the heat. Ensure that it’s placed in full sunlight, be it indoors or in a conservatory. As long as it’s in a heated environment then it’s a hardy little beast, but it can also be grown under cover without heating, although it will then become more tender during colder weather conditions. Despite this, it’s pretty easy to grow, and a plant that the novice gardener will have no problem cultivating.
