Astilbe simplicifolia Sprite is also called Astilbe Sprite. This pretty specimen has small pale pink flowers that grow relatively spaced out on bright pink stems, that reach up and out of the dark green foliage. When the flowers are spent the seed heads are rather nice looking, so theres no need to remove them, they wont make your garden look untidy. Ideally suited to an informal planting style this astilbe will grow well in most soil types, in sun or partial shade and is generally not troubled by garden pests or most plant diseases.
