Product description

Allium tuberosum or garlic chives are native to Asia. The narrow drooping green leaves and the stalks are edible and are used in the same way as chives, you can simply snip them off and use them in your cooking. It has a good garlic taste. Its commonly used in Asian cuisine. It has umbrella shaped clusters of small, white, star shaped flowers that grow on tall stems. It is considered a weed in some parts of the world. In cold areas it will die back in winter but will start sprouting again in the springtime. It wont grow very high, about half a metre is the maximum height, and it will generally be smaller than that.
