Trailing Iceplant

Delosperma cooperi | Also known as: Pink Carpet, Mesembryanthemum cooperi | Rating: 1 votes | Print / Pdf

While a pink carpet may not look so great inside your house, this little beauty will certainly look fabulous outside.

Delosperma cooperi is commonly known as the Trailing Iceplant or Pink Carpet. It grows as a spreading carpet of succulent leaves with an abundant show of gorgeous bright pink flowers in the summer, which bloom for about three months. It's a trailing plant so will work well planted at the top of a wall, or in a rockery. It will grow well in loamy or sandy soil as long as it is well-drained and it likes plenty of sun too. It's best grown in a Mediterranean climate.
