Large Flowered Barrenwort

Epimedium grandiflorum | Also known as: Crimson Beauty, Epimedium macranthum | Rating: 0 votes | Print / Pdf

Is the Crimson Beauty blushing from a compliment?

Epimedium grandiflorum is an exotic looking plant that adds wonderful vibrant colour to your garden from spring through to summer. With deep green foliage as a background, in spring it blooms with pink-purple and white flowers that have delightfully drooping heads. Despite it’s delicate good looks, the Large Flowered Barrenwort is surprisingly easy to grow, and requires little on-going care to keep it looking good. Extremely hardy, plant in a sheltered position in partial shade and it will thrive whatever weather Mother Nature decides to throw at it.
