Echeveria is the genus of many different species and sub-species, and are a great plant to grow if you’re looking for something a little different. All of the plants that bear the name are easy to grow, and known to have very long lasting flowers. Whilst they’re easy for the novice gardener to grow, most can’t cope with temperatures lower than about 5-70 C, so either need to be moved indoors during the colder months or grown in a conservatory or greenhouse. The leaves of the plants grow in rosette formation, and the blooms flower in the summer in various shades, from coral-pink through the shades of the spectrum to yellow and red.
