Dwarf Sedge

Cyperus haspan | Also known as: Haspian Flat Sedge, Sharp Edge Sedge | Rating: 2 votes | Print / Pdf

Live life on the edge, grow a sharp edge sedge.

This exotic looking plant has tiny, fairly inconspicuous flowers of green/brown during the summer months. It loves water, so can be used as a pond plant, although be sure to ensure that Dwarf Sedge is planted in a basket in this location as it can be invasive. Cyperus haspan can also be grown in bog gardens, in containers or even successfully cultivated indoors or in a conservatory. Shelter from frost if outside in the winter time.
