Cleome aster and verbena

Plan your garden in advance. Here is an idea for August.

Bright pink and violet shades mix well together in a cottage garden setting. The classic verbena bonariensis goes well with cleome and aster. Some decorative foliage plants such as purple-coloured kale Redbor, that will look exotic in this mix, eventhough it is a plain vegetable.
