Chinese Bell Flower 'Souvenir de Bonn'

Abutilon 'Souvenir de Bonn' | Also known as: Chinese Lantern 'Souvenir de Bonn', Indian Mallow 'Souvenir de Bonn' | Rating: 0 votes | Print / Pdf

This is the family name for a large number of sub-species of varying sizes, colour and shape. Depending on the type you choose, Abutilon, or the Chinese Bell Flower, can differ in size. It sports five-petalled, generally bell shaped flowers that tend to bloom during the summer and autumn. They are quite easy to cultivate, however most are unable to cope with the British winters, so are most often seen grown indoors or in a conservatory. But they can happily be moved outside during the warmer months of the year.
