Yarnbombing has really taken off in recent years. You've probably seen examples of it in your local area.

Perhaps a street light with a knitted scarf, or a post box sporting a woolly hat. We love these little random additions to our otherwise dull and boring streets, but this squid tree really goes one step further. The whole tree has been turned into a giant squid! It must have taken a lot of work, but it's certainly worth it. It will definitely put a smile on the face of anyone who passes by!

If you're the creative type and fancy brightening up your neighbourhood with some yarnbombing of you own, there are some good links on this blog to give you tips and ideas.
