The more you lie there, the more annoyed and stressed you feel, especially if you've got an early start the next day. The more stressed you get, the less able you are to get to sleep. So how do you get out of this vicious circle? Well your garden can help. There are several plants that really can help you to get a good night's sleep. Scientific research suggests that lavender helps you to relax and slows down your nervous system activity. Try adding some to a hot bath before bed.
Sage isn't just for stuffing; sage tea can help to relax your body. Jasmine can reduce anxiety which can prevent you from sleeping, and it's also thought to make you feel good on waking. Have a cup of jasmine tea before bed, and you should have some good quality sleep. The aroma of Gardenia has been shown to be just as good as sleeping pills for helping you get a good night's sleep. If you prefer a natural solution then this could be a really good choice for you.
