How to plant crocus bulbs

The crocus is one of the first plants to show its face in the new year. Usually white, purple or yellow , these small plants are a sure sign that spring is on the way.

The crocus is one of the first plants to show its face in the new year. Usually white, purple or yellow , these small plants are a sure sign that spring is on the way.

If you hate winter and want a splash of colour in your garden as soon as possible, then plant some crocus bulbs.

They're easy to grow, and will grow just about anywhere as long as the soil doesn't get too damp. Plant them about four inches down with the pointed end of the bulb upwards and give them a good watering. They look good in clusters and will look nice in the lawn as well as in borders.
