Freesias originate from South Africa. And this week they're our "Flowers of the Week"!

They're well known for their gorgeous fragrance, and it is because of this, as well as their good looks that they're a popular cut flower, filling your home with their unique sweet aroma. The pretty funnel shaped flowers come in a variety of delicate pastel shades, and some bolder colours too. They were named after a German physician Friedrich Heinrich Freese.
