The Zurich Succulent Plant Collection is one of the most impressive of its kind, covering more than 4750sqm and displaying over 6500 plants. We visited the collection and brought our good old 35mm camera.

By giving tin cans a lick of paint you can make beautiful plant pots for yourself. To do this you will need: tin cans, acrylic paint, a base coat, a paintbrush, and masking tape. Firstly you should clean the tin can. After you have done this, apply the base coat. If you want to keep some spaces on the can free from the base coating, like you can see in the photos, use some adhesive tape to prevent the coating from getting onto those places. When the base coat is dry, take off the adhesive tape and paint the areas that have a base coat. If the paint doesn't apply evenly, a second layer of paint tends to help. When everything's dry, you can put the plants in your newly-made pot! The only thing that's left to find is a nice place to put it, as your own hand-crafted plant pot is finished!
