Plants in the office can have a hard life. They're usually bought for their striking looks, put in a fancy modern pot and then forgotten about.

No one remembers to water them, and they're rarely re-potted.  Left to their own devices, the poor business plant has to look after itself and make the best of its' surroundings. If it's in a shady spot, well it's just going to have to grow towards the window, because no one is going to think to move it to a better position.

This series of photos by German photographer Frederik Busch aims to capture the essence and personalities of these office dwelling plants. All the office classics are there, out of control spider plants, sickly umbrella plants, lonesome rubber plants and poor cheese plants who haven't been given the support they need.

It's about time someone paid some attention to the sad life of the business plant and Busch does this with humour and style.
